Living Our Mission |
Mission statements can become hackneyed. Yet their clarifying power can be very profitable to a local church, especially to ensure that competing interests do not take the place of what's most important-the gospel. Simply put: |
We exist to glorify God by proclaiming, celebrating and applying the life-changing gospel of Jesus Christ. |
Glorify God: We find in Scripture that the goal of life is the glory of God. This will be our starting point. As we work to build this local church, our desire is to do everything in a way that glorifies God, not man. |

Proclaiming the Gospel: We do this through our preaching and teaching and through the lives we live before others. The gospel is the only true hope of the world. We proclaim the gospel in our corporate meetings, but also during the week as we live among unbelievers. Therefore, evangelism and outreach are an important part of why we exist. Celebrating the Gospel: We believe in enjoying all that God is for us in Christ. When we gather as families or as a church, we sing and celebrate the good news with passion and wholeheartedness. " Applying the Gospel: We want to be people who live in light of what Christ has done for us. To many, the word Christian is only a label or a tradition. We want to apply all of Scripture, living lives that are worthy of the calling we have received. Life-Changing Gospel: The gospel of Jesus Christ changes everything about who we are. It changes our beliefs, our attitudes, our desires, our behavior, our values, our eternal destiny, and our treasure. "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (ESV) |
We envision - Sharing the gospel with thousands of people in the West Orlando area. - Helping many wandering Christians to find a place they can call their church home. - Building an authentic New Testament church where every member is experiencing a meaningful relationship with God and with each other, every member is sacrificially serving in the local church according to their gifts, and every member is eagerly pursuing spiritual growth. - Caring small groups that model biblical community. - Experiencing God and passionate worship in our corporate meetings. |
